Davide and Marta are the heirs of the long tradition of Ceramica Gatti 1928, one of the most dinamique institutions of the international ceramic overview.
We are the longest-running manufactory in the city of Faenza, globally known for its ceramic from more than seven centuries. Established by the painter and ceramic sculptor Riccardo Gatti in 1928, the Bottega was later managed by his nephew Dante Servadei, until 2015. Marta and Davide, two of his children, manage the manufactury with the help of ten collaborators.
Arrived at the fourth generation with Riccardo Servadei, our family still works in the same place as always, its long history is testified by the manufacture’s museum, open to the public since 1998.
Ceramica Gatti 1928 is an eclectic reality wihch, just like a renaissance manufacture, works as a place of cultural transmission and values, of intersection between different disciplines, of passion for the work and a melting pot of different professionalisms.
Today, like yesterday, our Bottega has characterized itself for a 100% handmade productive cicle. Every object is an exlusive piece unique, created respecting a many centuries-old technique, which is widely recognized worldwide, with a particular care to the ecological impact.
We carry on tradition and innovation in every aspect of our production, which spaces from the collections of our iconic distinctive signs, the ones created by contemporary designers re-interpretating our archive, the collaboration with artists, and with factories, architects, all over the world.
